We’re quickly heading into the New Year, and that means it’s time to start taking a look at some of the smart home automation gear you’ll soon be able to install in your Orchard Park home. With Consumer Electronics Design and Installation Association’s (CEDIA) annual expo hitting this past September, we got a pretty good look and what’s coming down the line for your integrated technology system. And we’re going to share some of our favorite products with you right here. Find out more after the jump.

Control4 Goes Wireless

Wireless technology is great when it’s used right; specifically in spaces that can’t handle a hardwired system. That’s why it’s so exciting that Control4 introduced the Triad One Streaming Amplifier at CEDIA 2017. This device is an all-in-one solution for streaming wireless audio, making it perfect for smaller spaces and satellite houses that you don’t want to integrate with a full audio distribution system

What makes the Triad unique is that it’s capable of component connections which can take a standard wired system into the wireless 21st century. Plug in multiple outputs like an AV receiver or turntable to stream audio wirelessly throughout your space. The best part? The Triad integrates seamlessly with all of your other Control4-connected devices, so it’s easy to expand as part of a full smart home solution.

Sony Expands 4K

We love 4K Ultra HD, and it seems like most of our clients do too. But it’s easy to forget that 4K is still a relatively new consumer-grade product, and that top manufacturers are slowly catching up with the demand. Especially when you consider the general lack of options available to home theater enthusiasts around New York State who want to experience full 4K HDR quality with a traditional projector and screen combo.

That’s exactly the problem Sony plans to tackle with the unveiling of their new line of 4K projectors. Featuring both a new entry-level model (VPL-VW285ES) and a higher-end model (VPL-VW385ES), the new products bring true 4K HDR quality to home theaters with Sony’s mark of quality.

Both models support full 4K HDR at 60 fps, making them perfect for gaming, sports and, of course, movies. The higher-end VW385ES offers a dynamic contrast of 200,000:1 and the Advanced Iris, both of which are designed to bring your viewing experience to the next level.

Seura Unveils Smart Mirror Hub

If you’ve spent any time researching modern technology, you probably already know that you can enjoy a TV installed in your bathroom mirror. It’s the perfect way to save time during your morning routine: catch up on the weather and traffic reports while brushing your teeth and combing your hair. But Seura – a leader in mirror TVs and hidden technology – wants to take your bathroom mirror to the next level. In this case, that means an entire smart home hub in your bathroom mirror.

With the Seura Smart Mirror you can use apps, receive real-time weather updates and control all of the technology in your smart home while you get ready in the morning. You can even customize it on the Google app store with the features you love to see and use.
